What We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to deliver and support the product:

• Email address — provided optionally during setup or purchase, used for onboarding tips, product updates, and purchase receipts.
• Hardware hash — a one-way hash of your machine identifier, used solely for license activation. We never see your hostname, MAC address, or username.
• Payment information — processed by Stripe. We never store your credit card details.
• Feedback — if you voluntarily submit feedback through the app or website, we store the message content and your email (if provided).

We do not collect names, phone numbers, or device fingerprints.

Why We Collect It

Your email is used for: onboarding setup tips during your trial, product updates and release announcements, and purchase receipts. We will never use your email for unrelated marketing. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time.

Who Has Access

David Marshall is the sole operator of Charlie Mike. We use the following third-party services to operate the product:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Cloudflare — website hosting and data storage

No other third parties have access to your data.

Charlie Mike Desktop Software

Charlie Mike processes all audio locally on your device. No voice data is ever transmitted to any server. The only network requests the application makes are:

• License activation and verification (sends only a hardware hash, not personal data)
• Optional update checks (sends only the version number)
• Trial registration (sends only your email and hardware hash, if you opted in during setup)
• One-time model download on first launch

After initial setup, the application is fully functional in airplane mode.

Cookies & Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic patterns such as page views and visitor counts. Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser. We do not use this data to identify individual users. No other third-party tracking scripts are used. The desktop application does not use cookies or analytics.

SMS Communications

We use SMS solely for internal business monitoring. Automated operational alerts (site health, service status) are sent only to the business owner. No customers receive SMS messages from Charlie Mike. We do not use SMS for marketing purposes.

Data Retention

Your email address is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Trial registration data is retained for 120 days after registration. You can remove yourself at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us directly.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, email [email protected].

Data Sales

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.
